Home
Flutist Tammy Evans Yonce, an Atlanta native, is currently based in Newberry, South Carolina. She is on the faculties of Newberry College and the University of South Carolina Aiken, and she maintains a private studio. Dr. Yonce holds the Bachelor of Music degree (magna cum laude) in flute performance from Kennesaw State University and the Master of Music degree in flute performance (Baroque flute/history minor) from Indiana University; she received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Georgia. She won the Atlanta Flute Club Young Artist Competition in 2004 and has been published in Flute Talk (May/June 2005) and Flute, the Journal of the British Flute Society (December 2011). She has recently presented and performed at the Flute Festival Mid-South and College Music Society and is scheduled to appear at the British Flute Society, Flute Society of Kentucky, and Carolina Flute Summit conventions in 2011 – 2012.
